For a small added one-time cost of $200, you’re covered against life’s unexpected accidents for the two years between regular eye exam visits.

What do you receive?

• The SpecX Insurance Fee is valid for 18 months from the date that you collect your glasses.
• In the event that during this time your glasses are lost, stolen or broken beyond repair, you will receive a substitute pair of glasses.
• This substitute is not meant to be a replacement of your existing glasses (with it's current features and coatings) but rather you select from a small selection of frames dedicated for this purpose and you receive basic (clear uncoated lenses) in the lens design of your current glasses.
• This substitute is done in CR-39 lens material and as such, those who require 1.67 or 1.74 high index lenses would not be suitable for SpecX Insurance.
• This substitute is meant to get you by until you are equipped financially to purchase a new pair of glasses of your choosing (with your preferred features and coatings) or your next eye examination is due.
• When your next eye examination is due, it is expected that you would re-purchase a new pair of glasses of your choosing and the substitute could be kept as a backup pair in case of an emergency, once the prescription is not outdated.
• Every time you conduct a new eye examination (done every 2 years) and repurchase a new pair of glasses, you will have the option to add SpecX Insurance to that new pair or not.
